Saol rubbed her eyes as the candle beside her flickered violently with the passing chill.
It was late, and she was hovering in the reference section, sitting on an empty shelf while balancing an atlas on her bent knees. She blinked quickly, wiping away non-existent tears that were trying desperately to make her succumb to what she needed-sleep.
But this book seemed to keep telling her to push on.
'Could this get me home?,' she wondered, stretching her back before moving the lamp closer to her. It hung over her head on the shelf above, one of the few lights left in the empty halls of this particle wing of the library.
'I need....something from this. I don't know what. But SOMETHING has to give...' She rearranged her cloak with a sigh.
