He beckon Jyan to sit back down. "I am open to new ideas, especially ones that will benefit me in the long run." He sipped his tea, "but at the same time, I might know a few things more than you do."

"You want benefiting you in the long run? How about more power and standing within Aethesurin. Actual REAL power on the council, or even above it... How about giving up power over this 'pond' you speak of and have it over a whole ocean."

Jyan sits back down and looks at his nails, "This is all hypothetically speaking of course." It'd run a really good idea for Darrius to toss him in jail on the spot.

Darrius just leaned back in his seat, "you dream big, very big, so you must have friends somewhere willing to help you become the ocean king." He just grinned.

"If you are going after Kat, then I am not the only one standing in your way, there are members on the council, and most of all, you will have to get past Fennce, and I don't see you messing with him."

In a sense Darrius was attempting to find out more.

"And there is another problem," he took another sip of tea, "what if something comes from last night?"
