Shaking her head with a soft smile, she looked down at the little chicken wing on her plate and the glass of wine in front of her. Granted, she wasn't totally alone because she had her beloved family but as for love life, that was pretty non existent.
"Uh... no not really. I... umm... I haven't really had a boyfriend or anything and I told you, I live a pretty religious lifestyle so I don't have a love life. That doesn't mean that there aren't men who are interested... there are some men who seem to take notice of me, but I've always turned them down or simply pushed their affections off as a way for them to try and get something more from me than I was willing to give them," explained Nirvana before looking up at Darrius with a recovered smile.
"My love life is probably just as interesting as yours is it seems, which means that it is basically not interesting at all," offered Nirvana with a shrug of her shoulders before grabbing one of the potato skins and taking a bite of it.

Darrius unsteppled his finger and leaned forward a little, "ah, you hesitate, which means some male out there has caught your fancy. I can but hope that I might be it?" He grinned and pick up a potato skin and also bit in to it.
After a moment or two of chewing, "to give ones life up to Sayjinn in indeed a noble cause, one that I doubt I could ever do. I may serve him, but I serve as protector, not defender of virtue." Darrius smiled and took another bit of his potato skin.
"But I am sure one day you will find the right one for you, he will just show up one day, and you will be happy. I on the other hand live with power, and power will not keep me happy." He another bite of his potato skin, "warm but not happy." He grinned.

Hearing his words, Nirvana bit the side of her cheek, since this was turning into a rather serious conversation. In fact, it was turning into one that she didn't believe she would have been able to get into with him since usually, she enjoyed keeping herself more reserved. Once he started to pour his heart out about certain things that were going on in his life at that moment, well, you could guess that she was a little shocked to hear them, but she listened with open ears and a open mind.
When he assumed that she had someone who had taken her fancy however, it made her raise an eyebrow and laugh, shaking her head at the thought of anyone really making her fall for them. Well, she might have it it didn't revolve so much around the fact that she planned on dedicating her life to Sayjinn.
"Honestly, I don't have anyone in my life right now that has stolen me away in that sense. I have friends and people that I have conversations with but there isn't anyone I'm ready to settle down with or even start something with," explained Nirvana as she looked away for a moment with thought before looking back at Darrius, confused. "Why do you say that you'll end up alone always?" She asked, curious of his reasons for saying such things.

Darrius looked over his fingers once more at her, then set both hands on the table. "Because I rule the Keep, and the only reason any female would look at me is for the power that comes with it. Therefore, even if I should marry, they would only do it for the title." He picked up his wine glass and took a sip, "I am no fool, and even if I should marry, she would only love me long enough to have a child and no doubt take a lover. She would feel she had done her duty, and thus I should be happy. It has been done before among Seraph."
He looked her in the eyes with his pale blues ones. "You are lucky to have Friends, people whom you can trust, and who are there for you. I envy you." He smiled and then down the rest of his wine.

Nirvana sighed as she heard his words simply because she didn't believe this to be all together true. Granted, it was strange that someone would do such a thing. Marry someone for power, but then again, she had never been the kind of person to judge yet still, in her mind it just didn't seem right. Looking away for a moment as she played with the thought of actually eating her food, she grabbed her glass and took a slow sip of the wine colored liquid before looking back at Darrius.
"Perhaps you are judging all woman equally without even getting to give any of them a chance. There is a chance that you might meet someone who you can fall in love with and who could fall in love with you as well. You aren't destined for doom... or do you believe so just because you are the master of the keep?" asked Nirvana, raising an eyebrow at her white haired friend. He was a little more complicated then most, and when he said that he envied her, it sent chills up her arm because she hadn't heard anyone ever say that to her, apart from Exodus.

He just laughed, "I have spoken with several Seraph females, and all had better prospects, and those that did not, just wanted a tumble in the proverbial hay, so to speak." Darrius just shook his head. "I would have a better chance at marring a human, that a Seraph."
He held his wine glass up and looked at what was left in the bottom of it. Then just down it without a word and then refilled his glass. And looked once more at Nirvana.
"But enough of me and my love life, it is starting to bore me, and makes me think I need either a trip to the Web, or a visit to Fennce. He just grinned as he thought out they would start out talking and then end the night drunker than two waltzing piss ants.
"So...tell me more about your life then, as it seems it way more interesting than mine."
In truth Darrius was interested in hearing about her life, as he was starting to find her to be a very interesting person.

Not know what to say much about the entire situation, Nirvana just shrugged her shoulders as she looked down at her untouched food that she kept on flirting with the idea of actually eating. It looked good enough but the moment that the conversation turned serious, there was little to nothing that was actually making her move toward eating it. Thinking hard for a moment or two, she tilted her head before raising an eyebrow at him.
"Uh... I'm not really sure what it is that I could tell you about my life that will make it sound interesting. I live with my father and two sisters... Exodus and Amity. My little brother and my dad. Most of the time I spend is taking care of them but then again, I don't spend too much time doing that either because I always slip in time to go to worship," explained Nirvana with a shrug of her shoulders since right now, her life sounded so darn boring that she felt like she wanted to actually pull her own hair out.
"I guess I just have a lot of free time on my hands compared to you. I'm sure you never stop working except when you run away from the day as you've done today," smiled Nirvana softly as she grabbed her wine glass to take a small sip of it.

Darrius had once more started to take a sip of his wine, listening to how she was helping out her family, a noble calling indeed. But when she talked about slipping away to worship Sayjinn, he choked on his wine. In fact so much it almost came out his nose.
Darrius reached for his napkin and brought it up to his mouth and coughed a few more times. Then wiping the tears from his eyes he looked at her once more. "Sorry, I must of swallowed wrong."
Darrius then thought to himself that it was a shame that Sayjinn was the one to get all the pretty girls. So much flesh wasted on a God that may or may not even be there. He just shook his head, smiled.
"A very noble thought indeed, the worship of Sayjinn. I myself like to take out time from time to also offer my prayers up to Sayjinn."
Like the old saying said, it never hurt to knock on wood.

Nirvana had to raise her eyebrow at him with question, as he looked a little thrown off by her mention of Sayjinn. Smirking for a moment, Nirvana shook her head and sighed. "You know, a lot of people tend to look down on me because of my beliefs. I know that someone like you wouldn't do that but most of the time, people usually tell me that it is a waste of time and effort even though I would have to disagree but than again, that is my own personal opinion," explained Nirvana while sipping her wine and leaning back just a bit to look over Darrius.
"What about you? What do you do in your free time? I'm sure you don't always come to places like this when you have a day off, right? I'm sure there must be someone who takes up most of your time," teased Nirvana in a playful manner, since she wanted to get away from too much serious conversation.

Darrius also settled back in his seat and took another sip of his wine. "Oh," he shrugged and sighed at the same time. "I garden, train, feed my koi, hunt lizards in the ruin, just like any other Seraph." Then he smiled at her, "of course I feel the occasional trip to the swamp to set up training is also sort of my own time kind of fun, but other than that, my life is quite boring, so boring one could almost fall asleep listening to it."
He chuckled softly, "I guess I am set in my ways, nothing more than just a very boring old man, destine for a very boring life with not much ahead, except training, serving the Angels and the likes."

Nirvana smirked at Darrius and shook her head as she took another sip of her wine before placing it down on the table in between the both of them. "Come on now Darrius. I highly doubt that you are the boring old man that you claim to be. You're the master of the keep, that says a lot. You must have a lot up your sleeve that you aren't letting me in on but you know what? I think everyone is allowed to have their secrets so I'm not going to push," smiled Nirvana as she wiped her lips gently with the napkin besides her.
At that moment, the waitress came over to take their main order and at that moment, Nirvana wasn't really sure what she could possibly want. Shrugging her shoulders, she sat back a little and motioned toward him. "Darrius, why don't you order something for the both of us since I'm bad at ordering and I'm not sure what is good here since it is my first time," she ordered, sitting back and waiting for him to order for the both of them, unsure of what to order.

Darrius pause the wine glass by his lips, "well, come to the Keep and find out just now boring I can be." He winked at her.
Then looked up at the waitress. "We will have two steaks, medium rare, pink in the middle, some of those baked potatoes with lots of butter." He glanced over at Nirvana, "and some of that green stuff, ladies like." He winked at her, to show he was teasing, and then when we are done, we will order desert, and bring some of the Serpah's green tea for the meal."
He then looked back over at Nirvana, "do you like to fly? I do, mostly at sunset, or at day, when the world wakes or is going to sleep, that in between time so to speak." He was telling her something about himself, what she chose to do with it, was up to her.

Nirvana laughed a little at his invitation for her to go over and see just how boring he was, since she was pretty sure that he wasn't very boring at all. This was all an act in her eyes, since the master of the keep must have been one of the most interesting people in that keep, but he continued to disagree so she wasn't going to fight. Instead she simply raised her glass to him and laughed slightly. "Touché. I doubt if I go over, you'll be very boring at all. I think you'd be trying to impress me like you've done here," smiled Nirvana.
Hearing his question about flying, Nirvana thought for a moment and shrugged her shoulders. "I usually tend to walk a lot. I'm not that great with my wings. My father actually tends to tease me, saying that I'm a human with wings attached since I'm terrible at it," she explained with a shrug of her shoulders. Truth was, she didn't want to make a big deal about her bad flying style. Darrius seemed to know how to fly well. She was pretty sure that the third wing that Seraphs had did him justice when it came to flying.

"I find it interesting that you don't believe me?" He chuckled lightly, "well, maybe I do do a few interesting things, I mean since you do not want to visit me at The Keep, and you prefer to walk..."
He leaned forward some on the table and looked her in the eyes, "then perhaps you would like to go hunting with me." He left it open for a moment let her think what she liked. But for the Seraphs there was no greater joy then hunting. The thrill of the chase, the cornering of the animal, the fight for life, then thrill of the kill, especially when the prey realized there was no longer any hope for it.
"My people and I go hunting quite often, you would be more than welcomed on the next one." He smiled at her.
