Kaine stiffened, glancing back at Avary.
"You gotta admit Ava... he ain't much use to us if there's an imposter about..." She mumbled. "I mean really... We don't want Seraphs here..." She folds her arms, looking uncomfortable.

"An imposter... and not yours?" She was almost amused by how it all failed to work out for him, though she couldn't understand who could quite so well imposter Phalien...
But, Avary was surprised by his bold threat, and was not sure what to make of it. Would he really kill Kateleth? She was unsure... if it was vengeful he might want to but she had to assume Kateleth's guard had more then tripled since Phalien's disappearance.
Avary sat silent for a moment. "I did not expect you to care for us, which is why I still must be wary of you." She wanted to add an insult to the end of that to accentuate her point which was profoundly obviously. "And though you say your intentions are good with Phalien, and by good I mean good by us, I still feel as if we deserve some sort of reparations since we did harbor your guest for your profit. I would like to mildly insert that we deserve some sort of practical gain, since we did abed you."
Avary would then, after negotiating a price on Phalien, calmly and 'merely' curiously ask as to what his plans with Phalien were.

"Of course... 1,000 pieces of Gold for your troubles. That should be enough funding for a few endeavors, or even a new wing to this shit-hole." he said politely. "Take it, or a dead princess on your doorstep. It's up to you," he said, looking between the two women. Why Jerik left two girls in charge was lost on him, they were easier than putty to manipulate.

"A pittance." She dismissed his offer, "What ever you need him for is obviously worth a lot more to you if you were to go through such trouble, which obviously has to do with you yourself gaining some sort of power. Why else would you kidnap the man in line for the Archayen position?" She tossed that out there, "And if not for you directly, then you're hoping to set up someone whom you can control into that position, maybe someone less competitive, someone who isn't as strong and therefore suspicious as you... Not that we'd care." She looked back to Kaine and suggested that herself as well as the rest of the Chateau, "Obviously we would enjoy someone who is acceptable of our ways and isn't attempting to shut us down or kill us, though I am unsure of how you could pull of such a stunt... especially if you were to kill the Archsiress who's death would only lead to a crack down on all things by the Seraphs commanded so by a half insane Archangel."

He clenched his fist, whatever patience he used to have was wearing thin with Dar's curse. It would only be light out for a few more short hours. He narrowed his eyes at her standing up, taking a few step towards her.
"If I don't get him back, things won't matter much will it." His hand made it's way for her throat. "I could snap your neck right now if I wanted," He snarls. "So, a crack down of seraphs would be doubly bad for you. The Archsiress' death wouldn't bode well for you at all." His eyes were wild. "1,500. Final offer, and I take him tonight," he finishes.

Avary smacked his hand away from her throat, not fearing him so much since Nadkavo was merely down the hall, and a brute force willing to save her. But she was more worried about taking Phalien tonight... however she might be more able to free Phalien from Jyan's grasps. He couldn't possibly want Phalien dead, or else he would already be dead and there would be no use for the Illenists to have gotten involved.
"Temper, temper... It will not do well to let your temper get the better, especially if you aim to talk to someone far more important than myself." She basically wanted to point out the fact that she was getting to him. "But since I can tell you are stingy, I will take your offer. Your gold doesn't quite equate to the trouble we could have been in if we had been found accomplices though... in whatever coup you are staging."
Avary then stood up, signaling that this would be the end of their discussion, she had much work to do. "However, despite the fact that you are a terrible guest, it does not mean that we should not be horrible hosts. We will have an early dinner prepared within the hour while we prepare for you your... treasure? We have food and drinks for your men too, just to show there is no animosity between us."
She gave Kaine a look that said she wanted to speak with her, but she knew she could not leave the room before Jyan had another word. "Oh," She turned to face him once more, "We do expect the money before you take your leave, so if you don't have it with you I suggest sending someone quick to get it if you plan on leaving tonight. Otherwise we can also provide accommodations if you would like."

[I just made up a currency... lol I didn't imagine it'd be too difficult]
"I have 1,000 with me now, the other 500 will be delivered when I have him safe where he needs to be." He was tense, he had no intention of staying there that much longer. It was getting dark soon, and he needed to be back home for that. "I must be back home by nightfall."

"I must insist, if you will not pay us all the money now, that I myself or someone else escort you home to ensure our pay, and anyway dinner won't take long." She said plainly, "It is the least we can do for someone who might one day rule us all." It was a bit of a test to see his reaction, because he hadn't denied that he was trying to take over the throne. "If you would excuse me and Lady Kaine a moment, I am sure she has some directions about dinner that I can convey to the servers, and then I will be quickly off to ready your guest."
She nodded to Kaine, assuming that Jyan would not really have a reason to leave so quickly. She ushered Kaine to follow her out of the room.

"We need to find out what he is up to. If he is interested in becoming the new Archangel we should become his new best allies... at least for as long as it benefits us. And, honestly, he doesn't like me. You on the other hand are a lot more approachable. What do you say?" If Kaine could get all the information from Jyan as to what was going on, Avary could have the upper hand. "We know he doesn't have our best interests in mind, so we try to make him see things our way... once we understand what his way is."
Avary wondered how Phalien was doing alone in the jail cell, looking back over her shoulder down the hall and then back to Kaine. "We aren't going to let men get the better of us, nor are we going to let them have all the fun, now are we?"

Kaine smirked, raising an eyebrow. "Now I think, you are speaking my language." She paused, glancing back towards the room. "Gimme a minute," She walked in, quietly, shutting the door behind her. A few minutes the guards walked out with semi-annoyed looks on their faces.

Avary was a bit more then surprised that she got the guards to leave, and though that this would probably give her ample to to inform Phalien of what was going on, though he obviously would not be happy with this at all. What else could she do? If she got Phalien to Jyan then she could at least stage a break out without making the Illenists look bad and without having Phalien know where the Illenists were. Or at the very least she could get a message of the location of Jyan to the Palace.
She started to head towards Phalien's cell because she assumed that Kaine was going to take awhile.
(If you want you can have Kaine pop out now, or Avary can go explain things to Phalien and get her plan into order.)

(that's fine, they'll be in there for a bit...)
Phalien paced across his cell, still worried about Avary. Kaine didn't sound happy when she called her name, and it'd been a while. He hoped she wasn't in trouble for the help they'd been talking about.

Avary turned the corner and walked into the room and gave Phalien a little bit of a shrug, knowing he probably wasn't going to react well to this. "Well, we are getting you out of here a little bit sooner than expected, but getting you free might take a bit longer than that." She tired to present some good in it, but her voice was still hushed, even though she knew no one was in the immediate vicinity at the moment.
